We’re a small family business.

About us.

Family first.

Clive and his wife Sheryl own and run Timba Retaining from their home in Te Puna. They also employ their son, Liam, as an independent contractor who has a tonne of experience in farm work and fencing as well.

When their not working outside, you’ll most likely find Clive and Liam deep in the bush somewhere hunting wild boar or deer, or out fishing with their mates.

From the farm.

Originally a sharemilker, Clive sold his herd in 2006 after he realised that he enjoyed outdoor building projects more than he enjoyed farming.

Classic Builders contracted Clive to build a few retaining walls for their development projects which led to him establishing Timba Retaining and working in his business full time.

Fencing and more.

Since selling his herd, Clive has grown his fencing business to include a two tonne digger for taking on excavation and site prepping projects as well as hole drilling.

Clive and Liam especially enjoy the challenge that every new project brings, and seeing how stoked their customers are when each project is completed.
